Ben Wheeler and his German shorthaired pointer, “Annie,” enjoyed the resurgent 2015-2016 quail hunting season. “We harvested many quail this year in Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma and Arizona,” Wheeler says, “This last bird was harvested in Oklahoma.” The pair call Ord, Nebraska, home, where Wheeler is a Farm Bill wildlife biologist with Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever.
