Hayden Outdoors Team Helps Fund Upland Habitat Corners in Great Plains Region

Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever is pleased to announce Hayden Outdoors as a contributor to the organization’s Corners for Conservation program in Colorado and the Corners for Wildlife program in Kansas. Thanks to the foresight of the company and its employees, each Hayden Outdoors closed real estate transaction over the next two years will generate $100 for support of high-quality habitat on center pivot irrigation corners in the two states.

“All of our employees at Hayden Outdoors have an affinity for wildlife, hunting, habitat and access, which is why we’re happy to support Pheasants Forever,” explained Dax Hayden, Hayden Outdoors managing partner and Life Member of Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever. “In addition to our national sponsorship, this is an active way to give back to the communities we work in while demonstrating an innovative approach for creating wildlife habitat on private lands and making memories afield.”

The programs, Corners for Wildlife and Corners for Conservation, work extremely well in a landscape dominated by center pivot irrigation because of the geometric realities of farming in this specific region of the Great Plains. Each seven-acre corner – creating 112 acres per square mile of property - provides great opportunities to establish diverse habitat on every field.

Funds generated through Hayden Outdoors – real estate agents contributing $50 for every closed transaction and Hayden Outdoors LLC matching each agent gift ($50) - will be matched by Pheasants Forever and a myriad of other partners at a minimum $3:$1 ratio. Hayden Outdoors hopes to contribute over $25,000 per year to the program which when matched will create $75,000 for program enrollment. The finances will be used to pay for diverse seed mixtures and a landowner stipend in exchange for the establishment of upland cover. The result is more wildlife habitat, support of rural economies/agriculture, and the chance for more Pheasants Forever members to experience the famed upland hunting in this specific western region.

“Pheasants Forever greatly appreciates Hayden Outdoors’ support of this important habitat program and the benefits their gifts will create for upland birds and rural economies. This is just another example of their commitment to making the landscape a better place for farmers, ranchers, and hunters. The future of upland habitat and outdoor recreation will be brighter thanks to Hayden Outdoors,” stated Jordan Martincich, Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever’s director of development.
