Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever are proud to introduce Jason Kindall as the new regional representative for southern Missouri, Arkansas and Louisiana. With his experience in fundraising and volunteer management, Kindall will actively contribute to the organization's goals of improving public and private land conservation efforts for pheasants, quail and other wildlife.
“Jason brings a solid background in nonprofit work and a deep commitment to conservation, with leadership skills and customer service experience,” said Matt Christensen, Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever’s director of chapter and volunteer services. “He showcases a genuine understanding of community dynamics, and we’re certain he will positively impact our organization.”
Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever empower county and local chapters with the responsibility to determine how 100 percent of their locally raised conservation funds will be spent - the only national conservation organization that operates through this grassroots structure. As a result, chapter volunteers can see the fruits of their efforts locally, while belonging to a larger national organization with a voice on federal and state conservation policy. Kindall will help guide local chapters to achieve the organization’s mission in this region.
Prior to coming to the Habitat Organization, Kindall was the executive director of Habitat for Humanity in Washington County, Arkansas, and also spent time with the Beaver Watershed Alliance and the Ozark Natural Science Center. He has a BS in natural sciences and fisheries & wildlife biology from Arkansas Tech University, and a master’s in wildlife sciences from the University of Tennessee. Outside of work, Kindall enjoys fly fishing, canoe trips, reading, cooking wild game and playing the guitar.
“The opportunity to roll up my sleeves and assist with member-level grassroots work is very exciting to me,” Kindall said. “My roots in nonprofit conservation work run deep, and I will love making connections for Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever in the region — knowing that my work is going to make a difference.”
