Texas – Nation's Stronghold is Back

Forecast: After a somewhat poor season for hunters due to a severe drought, quail received nearly perfect brood conditions all across the state, according to Robert Perez, Game Bird Project Coordinator with the Texas Department of Wildlife and Parks. The rolling plains of north central Texas and the south Texas plains should be best for bobwhites. The Trans-Pecos area of west Texas is the place to look for scaled quail.
