The many ways we are working with partners to conserve wildlife habitat across America
New Pheasants Forever Scratch Game From SD Lotto Targets Pheasant Hunters
The perfect shot could land you up to $12,000!
Pheasant hunters and conservationists in the nation's "Pheasant Capital" will have another way to scratch that pheasant itch this fall with the new Pheasants Forever $2 scratch game from the South Dakota Lottery.
On sale now wherever scratch games are sold, the Pheasants Forever scratch game offers players 18 and older the chance to win up to $12,000! Keep an eye out for the "Rooster" symbol when you play, and you'll be sighting him in with a double barrel - double the prize!
"Hunting and outdoor activities in South Dakota are a big deal, but pheasant hunting is tops," said South Dakota Lottery director Norm Lingle, "We felt it was natural to offer the thousands of pheasant hunters that make the 'Pheasant Capital' their destination every autumn a fun scratch game that highlights that fact."
"The 35 Pheasants Forever chapters in South Dakota have completed over 16,000 wildlife habitat projects in the last 20 years, and Pheasants Forever is working harder than ever in South Dakota to make sure the habitat that produces the pheasants that greet hunters every autumn remains," said Joe Duggan, Vice President of Corporate Relations for Pheasants Forever, "The new Pheasants Forever scratch game is another way to spread our conservation message. Have a blast when you come to South Dakota, but don't forget the wildlife habitat that makes it all possible."
South Dakota's statewide pheasant hunting season runs from October 17, 2009 - January 3, 2010. Don't forget to attend a Pheasants Forever banquet or event during your trip to South Dakota this year. To find an event, log on to www.PheasantsForever.org or contact Ben Bigalke, Pheasants Forever Regional Wildlife Biologist in South Dakota, at (605) 350-2409 or via email at bbigalke@pheasantsforever.org.
