Conservation Partners: October 2009
The many ways we are working with partners to conserve wildlife habitat across America
SportDOG Brand Conservation Fund™ Youth Grant Program
SportDOG offering $1,000 grant, Applications Due by October 31, 2009
Conservation is all about the future. Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever's good friends at SportDOG Brand® - a PF/QF national sponsor - want to help ensure tomorrow's conservationists have the motivation and funding they need to continue the sporting community's proud legacy of wise use of our natural resources. SportDOG created the Kids in Conservation program, an extension of their Conservation Fund, to lend support to and recognize groups and individuals whose efforts are focused on a better tomorrow for wildlife and the wild places in which it thrives.
A key component of Kids in Conservation is an annual grant program through which a contribution will be made to an enterprising, forward-thinking organization that has demonstrated enthusiasm and ambition with regard to habitat conservation. For 2009, SportDOG will be awarding one grant of $1,000 to an individual or group who presents detailed plans for a project or series of projects aimed at improving or increasing wildlife habitat.
"It is our hope that our efforts to encourage tomorrow's conservationists will ensure a bright conservation future for generations to come," said Gary Williams/Conservation Fund Coordinator.
Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever chapters are encouraged to apply for this grant. For more on the application process CLICK HERE, or contact Gary Williams at (865) 218-1532 or gwilliams@sportdog.net.
