Brings decades of relationship building and a love for the uplands to the role

Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever are excited to introduce Ryan DeHaan as the organization’s newest development officer based in Iowa. In his new role, DeHaan will be responsible for working in collaboration with the organization’s donors, members, volunteers, and partners to expand private, corporate, and public funding relationships benefiting upland habitat conservation.

“Ryan is not only a talented professional, but he lives a lifestyle committed to habitat conservation, upland hunting traditions, and building relationships,” said Jake Hanson, Director of Development for PF & QF. “Ryan is uniquely equipped to help expand the organization’s network of passionate supporters and donors, helping grow our footprint and mission for upland wildlife in Iowa and beyond.”

Building a strong culture of philanthropy among Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever constituents is a top priority, which includes but is not limited to – leadership gifts and major gifts, charitable bequests, corporate philanthropy, real estate and conservation easements, endowments and grant funding.

DeHaan, based out of Johnston, Iowa, will focus on continuing to expand philanthropic support and deepen relationships with supporters in The Hawkeye State. DeHaan joins the team after a twenty-five-year career with Wells Fargo where he built, managed, and stewarded long-term, high-trust relationships. He is an avid outdoorsman with deep family traditions of upland bird hunting behind his team of wirehaired pointing griffons.

“I’m proud to be a part of an organization so deeply committed to conservation and the future of upland hunting,” DeHaan said. “Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever represent my values – protecting wildlife, expanding access, and bringing people together in the field. I’m excited to build relationships with our Iowa supporters, fulfilling their passions and interests through philanthropic giving.”
