2025’s National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic will wrap up with a special family day on Sunday, March 9, at the Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

Family Day returns for a second year, after a successful premier at last year’s Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Sponsored by Equity Bank, Family Day includes free admission for kids ages 16 and under, and honors the timeless family tradition of the uplands — hunting of course, but also the habitat that binds us to wild places.

Whether you are coming from near or far for National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic, why not bring the whole family?

Hunting is generational, and we want to celebrate that culture and tradition with everyone who attends National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic

“Hunting is generational, and we want to celebrate that culture and tradition with everyone who attends National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic,” said Shannon Hoheisel, Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever’s corporate partnerships manager.

The first 500 families through the door on Sunday will recieve a free western quail plush dog toy from ROCT Outoor. The day will also feature a meet and greet with the MeatEater crew from 9:30-10:30 am at the PF & QF store, as well as the Women on the Wing brunch.

“The event has something for the whole family — from bird dogs and guns to gear, wild game cooking tips and habitat advice,” Hoheisel said. “Family day just adds one more feature to the list of attractions this year, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring this opportunity to families again in 2025.”

Here are three great family-style suggestions for things to fit into your day:

  1. Take the kids to the Youth Village, a place filled with fun and educational activities for young minds.
  2. Visit the Pollinator Pavilion and learn about the wonders of bees, butterflies, and the wildflower habitat that helps them.
  3. Stroll down down “Bird Dog Row” … dogs and puppies galore!
