Learn to Shoot

Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever’s shooting sports programs were originally focused on youth initiatives, but they have now expanded in scope to serve novice recreational shooters of all ages.

The adult focused LTS program aims to engage new audiences across the country to grow and diversify our shooting sports community. The objective of this program is to provide knowledge, skills, and an introduction to shooting sports, through education and interaction with experienced instructors and positive hands-on skill building activities in a controlled setting. These events allow participants to experience wingshooting, while educating them on the importance of firearm safety, conservation, and outdoor ethics. Ultimately, we want to create a Path to the Uplands that leads a new recreational shooting enthusiast to purchase a hunting license and become a part of the conservation community!

Our PF and QF Conservation Education team can provide financial assistance and training for chapters to engage new audiences through collaborative efforts of volunteers, staff, and partners to Recruit, Retain and Reactivate more sportsmen and women.

GRANT OPPORTUNITIES To accomplish the goals and objectives of these adult LTS events, grant opportunities up to $500 per event are available to help with expenses for PF and QF chapters. Apply for funding here.
