Bird Dog Parade Kicks Off National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic Next Week

One week from today, Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever’s annual Bird Dog Parade will once again kickoff the 2022 National Pheasant Fest and Quail Classic. This annual show-stopper will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 11 within the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska. The parade will open the three-day event which runs from Friday, March 11, to Sunday, March 13.

At 11 a.m. on Friday, a crowd will gather in the CHI Health Center to see flushers, pointers, setters, retrievers and more, led by their owners, in the grand opening of the nation’s largest upland event. The Bird Dog Parade is presented by Purina Pro Plan and South Dakota Tourism.

MeatEater’s Ryan Callaghan and his lab “Snort” will be the grand marshals of this year’s parade. Callaghan is MeatEater’s director of conservation and the host of the Cal’s Week in Review podcast.
