May 18, 2026 – Mountain Home, Ark. – Quail Forever (QF) is proud to introduce the Twin Lakes Chapter, covering Baxter County and the surrounding area. Formed together with quail hunters, bird dog breeders, field trial enthusiasts and landowners, the chapter will strive to improve wildlife habitat and preserve the local upland hunting heritage.
Unique among national conservation organizations, chapters of Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever retain 100 percent decision-making control over fundraising dollars, allowing volunteers to support impactful wildlife habitat projects, public access initiatives and conservation education programs throughout the upland bird range. QF’s Arkansas regional representative, Jason Kindall, will work closely with the new chapter to support the organization’s vision to sustain abundant populations of wild quail, pheasants and other wildlife.
“I'm energized by the willingness of this new chapter to explore partnership opportunities to enhance and create habitat in their part of the state.” Kindall said. “The chapter truly exhibits QF's grassroots conservation model and is positioned to improve habitat in historical quail range in The Natural State."
Chapter volunteers are looking forward to building relationships with local landowners and managers, donors, and community members to positively impact quail habitat. They will strive to find new ways to enhance and restore habitat in the unique Mountain Home region; home to many opportunities for hunting and fishing. The group looks forward to hosting Hands-on-Habitat, membership recruitment, and fundraising events in the near future.
